Problem

Drag & drop questions on ScootPad do not work correctly. When the student drags the answer over the box and lets go, the question snaps back to where it started. As a result students are unable to answer questions and cannot proceed.

Solution

This is an issue with the zoom function in ScootPad. On each question, there is a set of magnifying glasses on the top-right corner of the browser. If the student zooms in (magnifying glass with a +), it apparently messes up the targets and answers cannot be placed. Students must zoom all the way out (click the magnifying glass with a minus in it until it is grayed out) before dragging the answers.

One workaround is to use the browsers zoom function and not ScootPad's. This is accessed in the three-dot settings menu on the top-right of the browser window. Halfway down that menu is Chrome's zoom function that should zoom in the question without breaking drag & drop.
